The Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, announced today that the government will issue a ₹75 commemorative coin on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament Building.

The new Parliament Building is being built at a cost of ₹29,790 crore. It is expected to be completed by August 2024. The building will have a total floor area of 64,500 square meters. It will have a capacity to accommodate 800 members of Parliament.
