Suzlon Group, India’s largest renewable energy solutions provider, announced on September 29, 2023, that it has secured an order for its 3 MW series turbines from Juniper Green Energy Private Limited of 50.4 MW. This is the second order for Suzlon’s 3 MW series turbines, and it is a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation and self-reliance.
Under the agreement, Suzlon will install 13 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a rated capacity of 3 MW each at Osmanabad in Maharashtra. The order features the S120 – 140 meters wind turbine from the 3 MW series. The turbines will be installed on hybrid lattice tubular towers. The project is expected to be commissioned in phases, beginning in April 2024.
Suzlon’s 3 MW series turbines are designed to operate in low wind conditions and deliver improved energy yield. They are also equipped with advanced features such as intelligent pitch control and active yaw control, which help to optimize performance and maximize energy production.
This order is a significant win for Suzlon, and it demonstrates the company’s strong leadership position in the Indian renewable energy market. It also reinforces Suzlon’s commitment to providing its customers with innovative and cost-effective wind energy solutions.
